Microneedling is one of the most performed procedures in aesthetic medicine, and one of the least rigorously taught. Devices are sold with settings; biology is left to improvisation. This book starts from mechanism - how needles injure, how skin repairs, how actives cross the barrier the needles open - and ends in protocols a clinician can defend in front of peers. Seventeen chapters in five progressive sections, written by Dr Nenad Stanković and Prof. Dr Ali Kashif.
- Core mechanics (Ch. 1-3). The biomechanics of the micro-wound, dermal architecture and depth control, endpoint precision and the erythema matrix.
- Terrain and delivery (Ch. 4-6). Formulation physics and transdermal delivery, pre-conditioning the cellular terrain, integrating depth, speed and actives.
- Advanced adaptations (Ch. 7-10). Scar tissue and fibrotic remodelling, pigmentation dynamics, combination therapies, and complications management with adverse-event rescue.

Documented, not anecdotal
The founding principle is precision over aggression: the biology of the micro-wound first, the device second.
The academy's teaching rests on prospective documentation, not before-and-after marketing. A twelve-patient case series of four microneedling treatments per patient is documented with standardised OBSERV 520x imaging at every session and at 7 days, 30 days and 3 months after the final treatment, with matched mode, view, lighting and positioning.
Outcome sets are scored by two independent assessors blinded to timepoint and patient, using the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale with a pre-specified consensus rule; pain, adverse events and downtime are recorded at every session. The series is being prepared for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
